BVM’s rigorous instructional program serves Pre-Kindergarten (ages 3 and 4) through 8th grade. Our holistic approach to teaching focuses not only on our students’ intellectual growth, but also their emotional, physical, creative, moral, and spiritual development.

• Maternity B.V.M. has served Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood for over 100 years and we have a rich history of educating Chicago’s business and civic leaders.  

• Our rigorous academic curriculum helps our graduates earn acceptance into Chicago’s top private and selective enrollment high schools such as Holy Trinity, St. Ignatius, Josephinum Academy, and Lane Tech College Prep. 

• Our early childhood program provides a strong foundation for young children through a unique combination of direct academic instruction, imaginative play, and early intervention support. 

• We see parents as partners in helping our students learn and therefore are in frequent communication with our community. In a survey conducted by the University of Chicago, 98% of our parent respondents reported they would recommend Maternity BVM School to a friend who is looking for a school for their child.
